“I love the field dentistry and I love helping people, so every morning I wake up excited to come to the office. I treat my patient’s like family because developing trust is of the utmost importance to me. I want to make sure that every person I interact with knows that their health and comfort are important, that they are not a number, but a person, and should be treated as such. My goal in life is to make a positive impact in every endeavor possible. I will continue to strive to do this.”

“Hey there, I’m Dr.Kelvin Okons. I was born in Dallas, TX but grew up raised in Fayetteville, NC. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, then attended dental school at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN—which is where I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2019. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, playing basketball and spending time with family.”

A smile is the first impression we make when meeting someone new. It could build confidence and make people feel comfortable to open up and get to know you. I got into dentistry because at a very young age my sister fell on her face and broke her two front teeth. For many years she wouldn’t smile and would kind of fade into the background. Once she was an adult and was able to get full coverage restorations, her confidence soared, it all changed the day her smile reappeared. Seeing the profound effect of a kind dentist and excellent dentistry on my sister and her confidence resonated with me. I wanted to be a part of this process and do my part to help educate and care for our patients the way my sister was taken care of years ago.

How Often Should I Visit the Dentist?

Unless otherwise directed, dental appointments should be scheduled every 6 months for a routine cleaning and examination. Patients with certain conditions may need to be seen more frequently.

What Is the Difference Between Crowns and Bridges?
